Job summary

Canto is building a modern, AI-enabled legal function to scale our commercial contracting across the US and Europe. You will partner with Sales and Finance to accelerate deal velocity while maintaining policy consistency and risk controls.

As the first in-house commercial counsel, you will design processes, implement a CLM framework, and lead cross-functional teams through complex negotiations in a fast‑growing SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of legal experience in SaaS or technology, in-house or mixed.
• Strong experience negotiating commercial SaaS agreements (MSAs, subscriptions, DPAs, NDAs).
• Knowledge of GDPR/CCPA and related data privacy regimes.

Responsibilities

• Lead commercial contracting and sales enablement.
• Scale contracting operations with AI-enabled tools and CLM systems.
• Manage vendor and data privacy/ governance across geographies.
