Canto is seeking a Commercial Counsel to build a modern, AI-enabled contracting function from the ground up. You will report to the CFO and own end-to-end contracting across Sales, Finance, and the executive team, shaping how we negotiate, document, and govern commercial deals at scale.

Ideal candidates bring 5–8 years of SaaS legal experience, JD and bar, and a passion for blending legal rigor with business velocity in a fast‑growing SaaS company.

Qualifications

• JD and active bar membership in good standing.
• 5–8 years of legal experience in SaaS or technology.
• Experience negotiating MSAs, DPAs, NDAs and subscription agreements.
• Familiarity with GDPR/CCPA and related regulations.
• Ability to build processes from scratch in a scaling environment.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Sales and GTM teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead commercial contracting and sales enablement.
• Negotiate and execute SaaS MSAs, DPAs, NDAs, and subscription agreements.
• Scale contracting operations and implement CLM systems.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools for contract review and workflow automation.
• Manage vendor contracts and privacy programs (GDPR/CCPA).
• Partner with Security, Product, and executive leadership on AI-related compliance.
