Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Robotics Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. You will design, build, and integrate software powering autonomous robots across the full software stack, collaborating with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in robotics software and strong C++/Python skills with ROS/ROS 2 in production, plus experience in perception, localization, or planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field.
• 7+ years of robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on ROS or ROS 2 in production projects.
• Experience with perception, localization, motion planning, or control.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion and Kalman/particle filter techniques.
• Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
• Strong debugging skills in real-time and concurrent systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting field tests and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate software systems powering autonomous robots and platforms.
• Work across the full robotics software stack from sensor integration to high-level perception and planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to translate requirements into well-engineered solutions, and mentor junior engineers.
