Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Pre-Sales Application Engineer – Robotics & Automation in Austin, TX. This remote-friendly role partners with regional sales and channel partners to design and deliver demonstrations, proof-of-concept programs, technical evaluations, installations, and training for AI robotics solutions.

You will translate customer requirements into practical robotics applications, ensuring solutions are demonstrable, deployable, and supportable, while traveling up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years in field applications engineering, pre-sales engineering, robotics deployment, or related customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on ability to install, configure, connect, test, troubleshoot, and demonstrate robotic or automated systems.
• Working knowledge of hardware, software, firmware, networking, sensors, connectivity, and system integration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver product demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Conduct customer-site assessments and evaluate connectivity, operating conditions, workflows, safety considerations, and deployment readiness.
• Install, configure, connect, test, and demonstrate robotic systems at customer locations.
• Support scenario programming and adapt product capabilities to customer applications.
• Lead acceptance testing and confirm deployments meet technical and operational requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, and configuration issues.
