Job summary

Field AI is seeking a part-time Field Application Engineer to support deployment, testing, and client-facing operations of robotic systems including drones and humanoid robots. You will travel regularly to project sites across the U.S.

from our Burlington, TX base, coordinating with engineers and clients to ensure successful field outcomes. The role emphasizes hands-on hardware work, field testing, and clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS/Robotics/EE/Mechatronics)
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical topics for diverse audiences
• Willingness to travel frequently across the country; passport/REAL ID preferred
• Hands-on robotics hardware experience is a plus
• Basic coding/scripting skills (Python, C++, or similar)

Responsibilities

• Deploy and operate robotic systems in the field and support testing and data collection.
• Supervise remote operations and assist during client presentations and demos.
• Facilitate clear communication between engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Document technical issues, test results, and client feedback in detail.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and contribute to workflow improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate on system performance and usability.
