Job summary

HighRes seeks an experienced Robotic Automation Engineer II to join the Automation Engineering team. The role is field-based with primary work in New Jersey or Pennsylvania, covering NJ, PA, and NY, and frequent travel to Beverly, MA for training.

You will commission complex systems, integrate robots and instruments, and lead end-to-end deployments while mentoring junior engineers and communicating with diverse customer audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related field with 4+ years of experience; or Master's with 3+ years; or Associate's with 6+ years.
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, or supporting laboratory automation or industrial robotics in a customer-facing setting.
• Experience with scheduling software such as CellarioScheduler, Green Button Go, Momentum, Overlord, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in C# or another object-oriented language.
• Ability to independently lead complex technical deployments with minimal supervision.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting robotic systems at hardware and software levels.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of commissioning complex systems, integrating robots and lab instruments into a scalable platform.
• Modify and troubleshoot CellarioScheduler workflows across complex deployments; extend system behavior in C#.
• Partner with Applications team on end-to-end workflow design and deployment.
• Own the acceptance path; verify hardware, software, and integration deliverables meet criteria before handover.
• Support multi-system deployments with coordinated workflows and tracked sample state.
