Job summary

HighRes is seeking a Robotic Automation Engineer I to join our Automation Engineering team, based on the West Coast. This field-based role focuses on deploying end-to-end systems across the West Coast and will travel to Beverly, MA for training and collaboration.

You will own deployments of robots, instruments, and CellarioScheduler, work independently on standard systems, and collaborate with senior engineers on complex deployments, delivering documented results to customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 2+ years of relevant experience; or Associate's degree and 4+ years; or Master's degree and 1+ years
• Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, or supporting laboratory automation or industrial robotics systems
• Experience with laboratory automation scheduling software such as CellarioScheduler, Green Button Go, Momentum, Overlord, or equivalent
• Proficiency in C# or Python with strong software principles
• Strong troubleshooting and configuration skills across hardware and software
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to travel up to 40% annually

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of commissioning standard systems, integrating robots, instruments, and CellarioScheduler into a lab platform
• Modify and troubleshoot workflows, resolving integration issues between scheduler, robots, and instruments
• Verify hardware, software, and integration deliverables meet acceptance criteria
• Execute FAT/SAT independently for standard systems and with senior support for complex systems
• Configure and troubleshoot automation hardware and device diagnostics
• Interpret and debug C# and Python code within HighRes automation systems
• Create and maintain technical documentation for deployments and issues
• Deliver standard and complex system training to customer teams
