Job summary

HCA Gulf Coast Division is seeking an RN Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator PRN to lead data-driven reviews and drive trauma care quality across Level II–IV centers. You will partner with Trauma leadership to review cases and analyze system performance, ensuring standards compliance and continuous improvement.

This remote role supports pre-hospital and hospital trauma pathways, coordinating with registrars, medical directors, and multidisciplinary teams to sustain high-quality, compliant

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the United States or multi-state compact with Texas licensing requirements (per hire)
• BLS from American Heart Association current
• TNCC within 90 days of hire
• ENPC within 90 days of hire
• TOPIC within 90 days of hire
• Trauma-related clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conducts remote concurrent and retrospective reviews of patient care to find improvement opportunities and ensure compliance with trauma standards.
• Supports the PI and Patient Safety workflow from initial event identification through monitoring and final loop closure.
• Partners directly with Trauma Program Directors, facility PI Coordinators, Medical Directors, and trauma registrars.
• Interacts with multidisciplinary teams to track, trend, and investigate clinical events.
• Validates performance improvement events and prepares data for secondary and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Assists assigned trauma programs in maintaining organized, sustainable PIPS initiatives that meet regulatory expectations.
