Job summary

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor in Wisconsin to support CMS surveys nationwide. This full-time role requires a nursing degree, CMS training, and travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT completed.
• At least two years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
• Current RN licensure.
• Independent decision-making to direct and manage the survey process.
• Ability to set priorities independently and collaboratively in performing survey tasks.
• Ability to discuss conflicts openly and seek assistance to resolve conflicts.
• Ability to travel up to 75% regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
• Off-site preparation, tour of the facility, observation of care, record review, interviews of staff and families, etc. Determine if care, treatment, and services are consistent with Federal requirements.
• Evaluate aspects of the healthcare facility system from quality of care to residents’ rights and physical plant.
• Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel during site review and exit conference.
• Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable.
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys on corrected deficiencies.
• Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups.
