Job summary

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to support nationwide surveys in long-term care and related facilities, applying CMS regulations and coordinating with facilities to ensure quality of care.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training and SMQT completed.
• Minimum two years of experience as a surveyor in long-term care facilities.
• Active RN licensure.
• Ability to travel up to 75% regularly.
• Demonstrated independent decision-making and conflict-resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid facilities for compliance with Federal regulations.
• Perform off-site preparations, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, and staff interviews.
• Evaluate quality of care, residents’ rights, and physical plant aspects.
• Communicate non-compliance findings to site personnel and during exit conferences.
• Determine acceptability of plans of correction and conduct follow-up surveys.
• Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups.
