Job summary

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for nationwide support in a remote role with up to 75% travel. The role focuses on surveys of Medicare-Medicaid facilities to ensure compliance with Federal regulations and quality of care standards.

Requirements include an RN license, a nursing degree, CMS LTC Basic Training, SMQT, and 2+ years of survey experience. Travel-heavy, full-time with extensive training opportunities and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Must have completed CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passed the SMQT.
• Minimum two years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
• Must maintain current RN licensure to practice.
• Ability to travel up to 75% regularly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
• Prepare off-site prep, facility tour, observation of care, record review, interviews of staff and families.
• Evaluate quality of care, residents’ rights and physical plant.
• Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel during review and exit conference.
• Determine if a plan of correction is acceptable and achievable.
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups as needed.
