Job summary

Cetera is seeking a Retirement Plan Sales Consultant to drive growth of our Cetera branded 401(k) solution across the Southeast and Northeast regions. You will develop advisor relationships, manage the sales pipeline, and present to plan sponsors to win employer-sponsored retirement plans.

The role requires 7+ years in retirement plan sales, FINRA 65, and a bachelor’s degree. Travel in the territory is 25-50%, with compensation ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 plus incentives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales experience with retirement plan products.
• FINRA Series 65 required.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the Southeast and Northeast territories to achieve retirement plan sales and asset goals.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan to build pipeline and increase adoption of our Cetera branded 401(k) solution.
• Build relationships with Cetera advisors through proactive outreach, education, and sales consultation.
• Identify and develop retirement plan opportunities within advisor practices and help advisors win new business.
• Manage the full sales cycle from discovery and proposal development through follow-up and close.
• Deliver presentations to advisors, business owners, and other key stakeholders, including competitive analysis and customized proposals.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide timely follow-up to advisors and prospects.
• Partner with internal teams and external partners to support successful sales outcomes.
• Stay current on retirement plan trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes.
