Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group, a Leidos company, seeks a Renewables Design Engineer in the United States. The role covers utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects, IFC package creation, and coordination across civil, structural, electrical, and geotechnical teams.

Remote or hybrid work options with minimal travel are available. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in design/construction of power and renewable energy projects, strong AutoCAD skills, and familiarity with interconnection requirements and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with power focus and 4+ years in power/renewables design.
• Familiarity with NEC, UL, ISO standards and technical documentation.
• Experience developing system schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects from concept to construction.
• Create and maintain IFC drawing packages including plan views, SLDs, site layouts and grounding.
• Produce construction-ready drawings meeting project specs and codes.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical and geotechnical teams for integration.
• Design and review MV and distribution systems and equipment sizing studies.
• Perform voltage drop, fault current, grounding, and conduit calculations.
• Coordinate interconnection requirements with utility stakeholders and POI.
• Prepare and review single-line and three-line diagrams and protection drawings.
• Support permitting with AHJs and utilities; resolve RFIs and field issues.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation or similar platforms for drawings.
