Job summary

Pearce Renewables is seeking Renewables Control Center Technicians for our Remote Operations Center to monitor wind, solar and Battery Energy Storage facilities across North America. This role emphasizes continuous operation, safety and reliability of plant systems.

You will operate, dispatch, and monitor plant systems, coordinate with Balancing Authorities, and schedule outages in line with ROC procedures. Strong renewables experience and MS Office skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience working as a control room operator for renewable generation.
• Power generation experience, wind or solar background preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for technical and operational problems.
• Knowledge of commercial and utility-scale solar facility design, operations and maintenance issues.
• Strong computer skills—mastery of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, TEAMS).
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays for 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

• Identify and ticket plant outages using SCADA, DAS and CMMS.
• Serve as primary contact with Balancing Authorities, Transmission Operators, Distribution Operators and Scheduling Entities.
• Maintain logs of solar plant operations per ROC procedures.
• Schedule planned and unplanned outages with Scheduling Entities.
• Initiate responses to plant changes, site trips and loss of communications.
