Job summary

Pearce Renewables in Tehachapi, CA, is seeking Renewables Control Center Technicians for its Remote Operations Center to monitor and control commercial wind, solar, and battery energy storage facilities around the clock.

You will identify outages with SCADA/DAS/CMMS, coordinate with Balancing Authorities and grid operators, log events, schedule outages, and respond to plant changes in a fast-paced, safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a control room operator for renewable generation.
• Power generation background preferred (wind or solar).
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• High safety awareness and OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and ticket plant outages using SCADA, DAS, CMMS.
• Serve as primary contact with Balancing Authorities and grid operators.
• Maintain logs of solar plant operations per ROC procedures.
• Schedule planned and unplanned outages with Scheduling Entities.
• Respond to plant changes and trips promptly.
