Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Development Engineer, Repowering and Restoration to support pre-sale development of utility-scale PV and BESS repowering, restoration, augmentation, and modernization opportunities.

The role may be based in Scottsdale, AZ, Bedminster, NJ, or fully remote with travel as needed to support customer engagements and site evaluations. This role does not provide VISA sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent engineering experience in utility-scale renewables.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, inverters, BESS, controls and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Experience presenting technical recommendations to customers, stakeholders, or commercial teams.
• Experience evaluating technical, cost, schedule, or execution tradeoffs during project development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-sale technical evaluation of solar repowering, inverter replacement, restoration, BESS augmentation, and facility modernization opportunities.
• Develop economical engineering concepts and replacement strategies based on customer objectives and RFP requirements.
• Build and maintain trusted technical relationships with customers by leading technical discussions through the opportunity lifecycle.
• Partner with BD, Estimating, and Engineering teams to support pricing development and validation of technical and execution assumptions.
• Develop technical exhibits and supporting documentation for project proposals and contracts; support customer negotiations as needed.
• Identify risks early and provide a clear technical handoff to preconstruction and execution teams upon project award.
