Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Development Engineer to support pre-sale development of utility-scale PV and BESS repowering, restoration, augmentation, and modernization opportunities. The role may be based in Scottsdale, AZ, Bedminster, NJ, or fully remote, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, inverters, BESS, controls, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Experience presenting technical recommendations, solutions, or project scopes to customers and stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating technical, commercial, cost, schedule, or execution tradeoffs during project development or delivery.
• Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, site visits, and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sale technical evaluation of solar repowering, inverter replacement, restoration, BESS augmentation, and facility modernization opportunities.
• Develop economical engineering concepts and replacement strategies based on customer objectives and RFPs.
• Build and maintain trusted technical relationships with customers through technical discussions across the opportunity lifecycle.
• Partner with Business Development, Estimating, and Engineering teams to support account strategy, pricing development, and validation of assumptions.
• Develop technical exhibits and supporting documentation for proposals and contracts; support customer negotiations as needed.
• Identify risks early in project development and provide a clear technical handoff to preconstruction and execution teams upon award.
• Support customer meetings, site visits, industry conferences, and workshops to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities.
• Stay aware of industry trends and OEM tech developments to ensure competitive solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining tools, standards, and templates to increase proposal efficiency.
