Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Development Engineer focused on repowering and restoration to advance pre-sale efforts for PV and BESS projects. The role supports scopes, technical discussions, and risk assessment across lifecycle stages, including client engagement and site evaluations.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to validate assumptions, develop proposals, and drive competitive solutions while traveling as needed. Remote work option available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience with utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
• Ability to travel for customer meetings and site evaluations.
• Experience presenting technical recommendations to customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sale technical evaluation of solar repowering and BESS modernization opportunities.
• Develop scopes of work, assumptions and exclusions based on customer objectives and RFPs.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with customers through discussions across the opportunity lifecycle.
• Collaborate with BD, Estimating and Engineering to support pricing and validation of assumptions.
• Create technical exhibits and documentation for proposals and contracts; support negotiations.
• Identify risks early and hand off to preconstruction and execution teams upon award.
• Support customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to strengthen relationships.
• Stay aware of industry trends and OEM tech developments to ensure competitive solutions.
