Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Development Engineer for repowering/restoration to join our Services team. Based in Scottsdale, AZ, Bedminster, NJ, or fully remote, the role supports pre-sale development of utility-scale PV and BESS repowering, restoration, augmentation, and modernization opportunities.

You will lead technical evaluations, develop replacement strategies, and build scopes of work, while maintaining customer relationships throughout the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical experience supporting utility-scale renewables.
• Working knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, inverters, BESS, controls, and balance-of-plant equipment.
• Experience presenting technical recommendations or project scopes to customers or stakeholders.
• Experience evaluating technical, commercial, schedule, or execution tradeoffs during project development or delivery.
• Ability to travel as needed for meetings and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sale technical evaluation of solar repowering, inverter replacement, restoration, BESS augmentation and modernization opportunities.
• Develop economical engineering concepts and replacement strategies based on customer objectives and RFPs.
• Build and maintain trusted technical relationships with customers.
• Partner with Business Development, Estimating and Engineering to support strategy, pricing and validation.
• Develop exhibits and supporting documentation for proposals and contracts.
• Identify risks early and provide a technical handoff to preconstruction and execution teams.
• Support customer meetings, site visits and workshops to strengthen relationships and opportunities.
• Stay aware of industry trends and OEM technology developments to ensure competitive solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement by refining tools, standards and templates.
