Job summary

Supabase is seeking a Release Engineer (SRE) to join the Release Engineering team (EngOps). You will ensure deployments are safe, observable, and recoverable at scale, treating pipelines and control planes as production systems with SLOs and on-call ownership.

You'll standardize deployment, instrument what we ship, and enable rapid detection and recovery when failures occur, working across product and platform teams to improve reliability and observability.

Qualifications

5+ years in SRE, production operations, platform engineering or release engineering.
Experience operating production systems at scale and on-call.
Fluent in SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, and observability tooling.
Led incident response and blameless postmortems with tooling like incident.io, PagerDuty or Opsgenie.

Responsibilities

Own the reliability of deployment and release systems with clear SLOs and error budgets.
Standardize deployment workflows and instrument delivery signals.
Drive disaster-recovery readiness and reproducible deployments.
Build and operate health and SLO monitoring for critical user flows.
Lead on-call activities and convert findings into runbooks and automation.
Improve deployment observability and auditability across environments.
Document operational procedures and break-glass paths.
