Job summary

Supabase is seeking an experienced SRE to define reliability practices across the organization and partner with engineering teams to own scalable, resilient systems. You will help shape SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and the incident-to-improvement lifecycle.

As a remote, global role, you will collaborate with multi-tenant cloud infrastructure and contribute to architectural reviews, incident response, and automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE or reliability roles.
• Experience defining SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Deep incident response and postmortem leadership.
• Experience with large-scale multi-tenant systems and AWS.
• Infra as code proficiency and async/global collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Partner with service teams to define SLIs/SLOs and error budget policies.
• Own and evolve the Operational Readiness Review process for new services and major changes.
• Strengthen the incident-to-improvement pipeline and drive systemic fixes.
• Serve as reliability expert during architecture reviews and resilience design.
• Identify operational toil and advocate for automation to reduce it.
• Help teams design on-call practices and measure on-call quality and coverage.
