Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a Manager, Regulatory Compliance to lead a team of regulatory professionals responsible for brokerage compliance guidance and escalation on complex matters. You will oversee bond obligations, penalty mitigation, and regulatory actions to safeguard ongoing brokerage operations.

You will drive independent judgment on escalation paths, perform substantive regulatory analysis, and communicate regulatory updates to stakeholders, including customers and agency partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, trade, law, or a related field.
• Licensed Customs Broker strongly preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in customs brokerage or trade compliance, with preference for regulatory compliance/post-entry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of customs brokerage operations, entry procedures, post-entry operations, ACE/ABI systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and root cause analysis, independent judgment on complex matters, and escalation decisions.
• Strong analytical, written communication, and organizational skills; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees compliance activities related to FedEx Logistics’ customs bond obligations as an importer of record, ensuring timely response to inquiries and penalties to protect operations and CBP compliance.
• Oversees financial outcomes related to penalty mitigation and billing for services such as bill handling, petitions, and regulatory representation.
• Ensures broker regulatory obligations under 19 CFR Part 111 are met within assigned areas, maintaining continuity and good standing with CBP.
• Serves as escalation point for complex regulatory matters requiring deeper analysis or leadership involvement.
• Performs regulatory analysis and drafts work products on penalties, enforcement responses, and compliance guidance.
• Monitors data trends to identify emerging issues and communicates findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Interprets regulatory requirements to internal partners and provides guidance on compliance implications for operations and technology initiatives.
• Engages with customers to advise on government notices and payments; interfaces with CBP and Partner Government Agencies on routine matters.
