Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Senior Sales Specialist for Materials Characterization to drive volume sales and market expansion across IL, WI and KY. This field remote role requires prospecting new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing customers, selling Molecular Spectroscopy and Thermal Analysis instruments.

Occasional travel ~60% is expected within the territory. You’ll work with regional sales, service teams and product specialists, using consultative selling to address customer

Qualifications

• Undergraduate with 5–8 years experience in Materials Science, Chemistry or related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time throughout the territory including overnight travel.
• Must reside within the assigned territory, preferably in Chicago metro region.

Responsibilities

• Grow Sales Volume and execute a sales plan aligned with region and company objectives.
• Manage accounts, identify new targeted accounts and participate in trade shows.
• Develop and implement business plans and maintain territory management to achieve forecasts.
