Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Regional Operations Leader for Power & Energy, assigned to the Operations and Delivery Team with multiple location options including Kansas City, MO. This role drives P&L performance, project delivery quality, and staff utilization across dispersed teams.

You will partner with Business Line Leadership, HR, Finance, and Project Accounting to optimize operations, ensure safety, and deliver sustainable projects. Remote work from any agreeable WSP USA office is possible.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience
• BA/BS Degree in Engineering, Planning, Architecture, Business, or equivalent discipline
• Experience as a major project manager or related role to understand project delivery issues
• Strong understanding of project financials, team dynamics, client relationships, staffing and resource requirements, and performance expectations
• Proactive problem-solving skills and open, candid communication
• Leadership skills with commitment, reliability, and accountability
• Proven track record in managing complex, geographically dispersed teams with operational efficiency and financial management
• Strong strategic thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

• Support the successful delivery of all projects and P&L performance.
• Partner with Business Line Leadership on operational aspects of the business.
• Collaborate with Local Leaders and managers on operational aspects and staffing; monitor P&L, project performance, and staffing.
• Collaborate with Strategic Growth Team, HR, Finance, and Project Accounting.
• Partner with Project Delivery for project operations consistency and reporting.
• Promote consistent project delivery, operational reporting, quality, and safety initiatives.
• Lead training and mentoring for project managers and staff.
• Support staff hiring and attrition goals; monitor billability and take corrective action.
