Job summary

Advance Auto Parts, Inc. is seeking a Regional HR Director who serves as the senior HR advisor to the Regional VP and leadership team across 600+ stores.

You will translate business priorities into a regional people strategy, lead a team of HR Business Partners, and partner with HR Centers of Excellence, Employee Relations, and Legal to deliver integrated talent solutions and organizational change. The role emphasizes workforce analytics, leadership development, succession planning, and a focus

Qualifications

• Proven multi-unit, geographically dispersed retail, restaurant or field-based HR experience.
• Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing senior executives to improve business outcomes.
• Strong analytics capability; comfortable building a people plan with data.
• Strategic thinking applied to complex business and workforce matters.
• High degree of business and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to lead and drive change within organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and conflict skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Workday; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Partner across HR Centers of Excellence to integrate talent acquisition, OD, compensation, benefits and ER into a regional people strategy.
• Visit stores/markets to gain insights and shape regional HR decisions and program design.
• Diagnose region issues using workforce data and develop proactive leadership plans.
• Collaborate with Employee Relations and Legal to address workforce risks and compliance.
• Ensure leaders apply policies and performance standards while balancing business needs and risk.
• Own regional talent and succession planning to strengthen leadership and mobility.
• Lead design and change initiatives aligning structure, roles and labor models with needs.
• Own regional engagement and retention strategy to address turnover drivers.
• Champion inclusive culture and consistent member experience across districts.
• Lead HRBP team with clear priorities and measurable outcomes; set operating rhythm.
• Develop HRBP capability through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
