Job summary

src, a hospital-based health system, seeks a Coding Manager to lead hospital and physician practice coding operations. This role focuses on data integrity, audits, and physician education on coding guidelines, with remote options and a Monday–Friday schedule.

RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC or equivalent certification is required, along with strong analytical and leadership skills. You will supervise staff, drive process improvements, and ensure timely resolution of denials while maintaining coding accuracy

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of complete and accurate clinical documentation across healthcare settings.
• Experience with coding and billing in acute care hospital and physician/clinic settings.
• Ability to educate physicians on coding and documentation guidelines.
• Demonstrated leadership in coding department management and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations of Hospital Coding Department to promote steady workflow and data integrity.
• Manages daily operations of Physician Practice Coding Department to promote steady workflow and data integrity.
• Collaborate with physicians on coding guidelines and documentation.
• Perform coding audits and ensure timely corrections of errors and policy updates.
• Monitor aging and DNB accounts; ensure timely coding and productivity benchmarks.
• Conduct audits and coordinate monitoring of coding accuracy and productivity.
• Provide feedback and coordinate educational programs for coding and clinical staff.
• Interview, hire, train, and supervise staff; manage performance and workflow.
