Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced coding professional to ensure accurate and compliant Professional and Hospital coding. You will develop guidance, coordinate audits, and analyze quality data to drive improvements across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include preparing leadership reports, collaborating with coding leadership and clinicians, and supporting regulatory projects while adhering to AHIMA standards. Remote work options may apply for eligible states.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Coding credentials required (AHIMA or AAPC such as RHIA/RHIT/ CCS/ CCS-P/ CPC).
• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS; audit and documentation skills.
• Experience with remote workforce operations.

Responsibilities

• Apply coding guidance to support professional and hospital coding accuracy.
• Develop coding guidance and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and document findings.
• Analyze audit results to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare leadership-ready summaries and reports for audits.
• Collaborate with Integrity Operations, coding leadership, clinicians, and education teams.
