Job summary

Valmont Industries is seeking a Regional Continuous Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence across multiple southern locations. The role is remote with extensive travel; when not traveling, you must be near one of the supported sites (Raleigh, NC or Atlanta, GA preferred).

The position focuses on training managers and staff in CI tools such as Kaizen, 5S, VSM, Six Sigma, TPM, Standard Work, Kanban, SMED, TOC and VOC to achieve measurable production savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in operations or CI or an equivalent combination.
• Strong knowledge of CI methodologies and tools.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional improvement projects with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate CI events and coach teams across sites to remove barriers.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes, metrics, and change management.
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma, TPM, and TOC tools to reduce waste and variation.
• Mentor leaders to embed CI principles into daily operations and strategy.
• Use PDCA cycles and CI frameworks aligned with site roadmaps.
• Coach sites to improve standard work and customer value.
• Define CI metrics and reporting for stakeholders.
• Plan resource and training needs and establish internal controls.
• Lead TPM workshops, SMED projects, RCA, and value stream transformations.
