Job summary

NuScale Power is seeking an engineer for the Refueling and Remote Handling Group to design remotely operated tooling for reactor servicing, including disassembly, inspection and assembly during refueling outages. You will contribute to safe, efficient tooling and integration with NSSS components across multiple environments.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a 4-year engineering degree (ABET preferred), and DOE Part 810 eligibility.

Qualifications

• A B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering is required.
• A PE license in Mechanical, Electrical, or Nuclear Engineering is desirable.
• Eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810.

Responsibilities

• Develop resolutions to complex problems using creativity and innovation.
• Collaborate with NSSS Component design to interface tooling with reactor systems.
• Prepare and review design documents, drawings, calculations and specifications for tooling and inspection systems.
• Plan and organize engineering work; contribute to an engineered product and explore alternatives.
• Support procurement for equipment design, fabrication and testing activities.
• Self-manage workload and deadlines; perform other duties as assigned.
