Thrivent is offering a 12-week summer internship in the Talent Acquisition team as a Recruiting Intern. This role provides hands-on experience across the full recruiting lifecycle and exposure to multiple business areas.

You'll build a pipeline of diverse candidates, conduct outreach, and coordinate logistics for events while learning Workday and CRM tools. Open to juniors, seniors, or recent grads with a relevant degree and strong communication skills; hybrid/remote flexibility is available.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.
• Takes personal responsibility for quality and confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate with business partners and teams to meet needs.
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
• Well‑developed written and oral communication skills.
• MS Office, especially Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Open to a flexible, hybrid work environment.
• Ability to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and tracking progress
• Participate in candidate outreach and communication, including scheduling and follow-ups
• Support Career Overview meetings and learn how to present opportunities to prospective candidates
• Help coordinate logistics for recruiting events such as career fairs and job boards
• Learn to use systems like Workday and CRM tools to manage candidate data and reporting
• Collaborate with recruiting specialists and leaders to identify process improvements
• Shadow and support the Recruiting Playbook and selection best practices
