Job summary

Thrivent Financial is seeking a Recruiting Specialist Intern for Spring 2027. This remote internship offers hands-on experience in the recruiting lifecycle, supports advisor growth, and exposure to HR operations in a Fortune 500 financial services company.

You will assist in building talent pipelines, candidate outreach, onboarding logistics, and reporting using Workday and CRM tools, collaborating with a team to improve processes while learning best practices.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications, or Business or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• MS Office proficiency; familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.
• Maintains information confidentiality and quality of work.
• Able to collaborate with business partners and teams to meet needs.
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Open to a flexible, hybrid work environment.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and track progress through selection.
• Participate in candidate outreach and communication, including scheduling and follow-ups.
• Help coordinate onboarding, intern events, and offboarding logistics.
• Learn to use Workday and CRM tools to manage candidate data and reporting.
• Collaborate with recruiters and leaders to identify process improvements.
• Shadow and support the Recruiting Playbook implementation and best practices.
