Job summary

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is offering a spring part-time Recruiting Intern role designed to expose you to the full recruiting lifecycle within a Fortune 500 financial services context. You will support the Advisor Growth Center of Excellence and regional leaders to learn recruiting operations, with opportunities to contribute to candidate experience and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.
• Takes personal responsibility for the quality and content of the work and complies with information confidentiality requirements where applicable.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships by collaborating with business partners and teams by fully understanding their needs and consistently meeting their expectations.
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Open to a flexible, hybrid work environment.
• Ability to work in the United States for indefinite period without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and tracking their progress through the selection process.
• Participate in candidate outreach and communication, including scheduling and follow-ups.
• Help coordinate logistics for onboarding, intern field events and offboarding.
• Learn to use systems like Workday and CRM tools to manage candidate data and reporting.
• Collaborate with recruiting specialists and leaders to identify process improvements.
• Shadow and support the implementation of the Recruiting Playbook and selection best practices.
