Job summary

Thrivent Financial is offering a Recruiting Specialist Intern position for Summer 2027. The role supports Thrivent’s Talent Acquisition team by aiding in candidate outreach, scheduling, and data tracking within Workday and CRM tools across multiple markets.

You will gain hands-on experience in the full recruiting lifecycle, partner with COE and regional leaders, and contribute to process improvements while learning talent acquisition in a mission-driven financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, communications, business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and tracking progress.
• Participate in candidate outreach and communication, including scheduling and follow-ups.
• Support Career Overview meetings and present opportunities to candidates.
• Coordinate logistics for recruiting events such as career fairs and job boards.
• Learn to use Workday and CRM tools to manage data and reporting.
• Collaborate with recruiting specialists and leaders to identify process improvements.
• Shadow and support implementation of Recruiting Playbook and best practices.
