Job summary

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is seeking a Recruiting Intern to gain hands-on experience across the full recruiting lifecycle, supporting the recruitment of financial advisors. You will work with the Advisor Growth Center of Excellence and regional leaders to learn recruiting operations and talent acquisition fundamentals in a mission-driven organization.

You’ll collaborate with teams, participate in events, and contribute to candidate experience and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Current college junior, senior, or recent graduate.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Interest in recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR operations.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Workday or CRM tools is a plus.
• Maintains information confidentiality and acts with integrity.
• Collaborates with business partners and teams to meet expectations.
• Strong problem identification and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication; proficient in Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Open to a flexible, hybrid work environment.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of diverse candidates and tracking progress.
• Participate in candidate outreach and scheduling.
• Support Career Overview meetings and learn how to present opportunities to prospective candidates.
• Help coordinate logistics for recruiting events such as career fairs and job boards.
• Learn to use systems like Workday and CRM tools to manage candidate data and reporting.
• Collaborate with recruiting specialists and leaders to identify process improvements.
• Shadow and support the implementation of the Recruiting Playbook and selection best practices.
