Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Junior Analyst Intern in Bethesda, MD to support the Valuation Services department with multifamily market research and analysis. You will collect market data, assist in market analyses, and study economic trends in designated regions to support client projects.

Reporting to a Manager or Principal, you will conduct interviews, compile findings, and help write market studies and appraisals.

Qualifications

• In process of earning a bachelor's degree in related area.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; interns must conduct primary research and summarize findings.
• Strong analytical skills for data gathering, analysis and reporting.
• Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage a fast-paced workload.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct economic and locational market research via interviews and web resources.
• Perform apartment property interviews, market analyses, and surveys.
• Interview housing authorities, planners, and chambers to understand demand.
• Interview managers of market/LIHTC properties for data collection.
• Gather information on new multifamily developments from developers and media.
• Request comparables from appraisers/brokers for analysis.
• Analyze demographic and economic trends related to affordable housing demand.
• Assist in writing market studies and appraisals for real estate developments.
• Occasionally perform administrative tasks.
• Assist with other duties, projects or partner requests as assigned.
