Job summary

Novogradac, a national accounting and consulting firm, seeks a Junior Real Estate Analyst for the Valuation Services Department. The role requires early office presence, then flexible arrangements with partner approval, and may include domestic travel.

You will conduct market research, analyze data, and assist in appraisals of real estate developments while collaborating with management and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus 1–2 years of Real Estate research or market analysis experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to conduct primary research by phone and web.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and present findings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Conduct economic and market research for designated market areas using interviews and online resources.
• Identify subsidized, tax credit, and market-rate comparables.
• Perform preliminary screenings, market analyses, rent surveys, and demand analyses.
• Interview housing authorities, planners, and property managers to understand market demand.
• Draft market study reports including primary market area and demand analysis.
• Assist in appraisals and review market conditions for developments.
• Conduct in-person site visits and complete required training.
