Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Lead Cultural Resource Specialist to direct cultural resource compliance across Transportation, Renewables, Power, and Water sectors. You will manage NHPA/Section 106 processes, mentor staff, and shape workflows while coordinating with tribes, regulators, and clients.

The role emphasizes data interpretation, report preparation, and business development to grow the team. A strong background in archaeology or CRM and field experience is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in archaeology, anthropology, or CRM with NAV and regulatory familiarity.
• Experience leading NHPA/Section 106 work and tribally coordinated projects.
• Strong report writing and communication abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct a cultural resource team for NHPA compliance and due diligence.
• Provide oversight and interpretation of data in investigations and reporting.
• Lead field efforts: inventory, testing, excavation, monitoring.
• Prepare and review cultural resources reports and proposals.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development activities.
