Job summary

EXP seeks a Remote Archaeologist to join the Environmental team focused on cultural resources in energy-related projects. You will oversee field surveys, manage subcontractors, and ensure reporting aligns with NEPA and FERC guidelines while coordinating with state and federal agencies.

Preferred candidates hold a Bachelor's in Anthropology/Archaeology with 5+ years of cultural resources data management, and proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Anthropology or Archaeology (Masters preferred) with a minimum of 5+ years of experience specific to cultural resources data management.
• Knowledge of computer applications and functions, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage cultural field surveys for energy-related projects.
• Manage cultural resource survey subcontractors and firms assigned to project phases.
• Manage the cultural resources components of projects including compliance with FERC, EPA, USACE, USFWS, SHPO and local agencies.
• Ensure documents for cultural resource services meet NEPA and FERC guidelines.
• Oversee preparation of cultural resource reporting for NHPA Section 106.
• Review and track field work for completeness and constructability.
• Meet project deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
• Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, including advanced technical writing.
