Job summary

Ulteig Engineers, Inc. seeks a Senior Cultural Resources Specialist to guide compliance with NEPA/NHPA for public and private clients across Lifeline Sectors. You will lead, author, and review reports and mentor staff while expanding Ulteig's client base.

The role requires an advanced degree in archaeology/anthropology, 10-15+ years of experience, and strong communication skills. Remote/hybrid/onsite flexibility is provided.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in archaeology, anthropology, or closely related field.
• 10-15+ years of related experience; advanced degree may count toward experience.
• Strong knowledge of NEPA/NHPA and related regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, organize, and direct cultural resources work teams for report preparation.
• Provide oversight and interpretation of data for investigations, mitigation, or monitoring.
• Coordinate project desktop and field efforts.
• Communicate cultural, scientific, and technical information to project teams.
• Prepare and review cultural resources reports and materials.
• Assist clients with historic properties and Tribal coordination/compliance.
• Develop lasting client relationships through high-quality support.
• Engage new clients through networking, marketing, and service.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of services, schedules, and budgets.
• Mentor junior staff.
