Job summary

You will turn complex data into actionable insights by blending healthcare and underwriting knowledge with analytics and technical skills to support reporting and decision-making.

The role partners across teams to improve how information is delivered and used, with a focus on data quality, dashboards, and proactive solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience within the healthcare industry.
• Direct underwriting knowledge or experience strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret data and translate findings into meaningful business insights.
• Experience working independently and successfully navigating complex or ambiguous business problems.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to quickly learn new business areas, processes, and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate analytical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VBA.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, SAS, or R.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary business partner and subject matter expert for operational reports, tools, and analytics.
• Analyze healthcare, underwriting, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights.
• Lead reporting and analytical initiatives requiring cross-team collaboration.
• Translate complex data into clear recommendations for business partners and leaders.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reports, dashboards, tools, and processes as needs evolve.
• Work with large datasets from multiple sources to support reporting and analysis.
• Monitor and validate data for completeness, accuracy, and quality.
• Anticipate business needs and recommend analytical or reporting solutions.
• Build partnerships across the organization and influence decisions through data-driven insights.
