Job summary

The role plans, manages, and coordinates all Communications activities, including testing, inspection, and maintenance, while overseeing field forces and scheduling maintenance and budgets.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; telecom/electronics/networking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in telecommunications/electronics/networking is preferred.
• Ability to manage field personnel in a union environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Willingness to be available for 24/7 operations.”

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate all Communications-related activities including testing, inspection and maintenance.
• Oversee field teams and manage maintenance schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and monitor budgets; procure materials as needed.
• Develop and update SOPs for Communications and maintain documentation.
• Ensure ISO 9001 certification maintenance and process improvement.
• Promote and enforce safety programs and conduct safety audits.
• Provide staff development, coaching and disciplinary guidance when required.
