Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Long Island Rail Road seeks a Project Coordinator to support the Special Projects Department in coordinating capital design and construction activities with outside consultants and LIRR staff.

You will prepare reports, schedules, estimates, and project controls, review invoices and contract changes, and assist in ensuring safety policies and adherence to departmental procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered with approval.
• Experience in construction/engineering/project management; ability to read construction plans.
• Knowledge of scheduling, estimating and project controls for construction disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate capital projects and support Project Managers and Directors.
• Prepare reports, presentations, analyses and recommendations.
• Assist in schedules, estimates, controls; review invoices and contract changes.
• Coordinate design and construction with consultants and internal teams.
