Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking a RAM Engineer to support a multinational SATCOM program focused on deployable multi‑band terminals. You will develop RAM analyses, reliability predictions, FMECA studies, and LORA to ensure mission readiness during design, production, and sustainment.

The role collaborates with Systems Engineering, IPS, Logistics, and Quality Assurance to meet performance targets and sustainment objectives, including DRACAS data analysis and IPT reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in reliability, systems, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years in Reliability/ Maintainability/ Supportability or Systems Engineering.
• Experience in defense, aerospace, SATCOM, or military systems programs.
• Proven ability performing RAM predictions, RAMT analyses, FMECA, LORA, maintenance analyses.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliability programs supporting SATCOM systems through design, production, deployment, and sustainment phases.
• Perform reliability predictions using MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-STD-756, IEC 61078, Telcordia SR-332, HDBK-217Plus, and ANSI VITA 51 methodologies.
• Analyze hardware, firmware, and software reliability to the LRU level.
• Develop and maintain Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and evaluate system reliability performance.
• Perform maintenance analyses and availability modeling to support sustainment planning.
