Job summary

Fairwinds Technologies, LLC is seeking a RAM Engineer to support a multinational SATCOM program focused on deploying, sustaining, and modernizing deployable multi-band SATCOM terminals. You will develop RAM analyses, reliability models, and maintenance strategies throughout the lifecycle, collaborating with Systems Engineering, IPSP, Logistics, and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Reliability, Maintainability, Supportability, or Systems Engineering.
• Experience supporting defense, aerospace, SATCOM or military systems.
• Experience performing RAM predictions, RAMT analyses, FMECA, LORA, maintenance analysis and availability modeling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliability programs supporting SATCOM systems through design, production, deployment, and sustainment.
• Perform reliability predictions using MIL-HDBK-338B, MIL-STD-756, IEC 61078, Telcordia SR-332, HDBK-217Plus, and ANSI VITA 51 methodologies.
• Analyze hardware, firmware, and software reliability to the LRU level.
• Develop and maintain Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs) and evaluate system reliability performance.
• Perform Maintainability Analyses, including MTTR, MTTRS, TTR, and MTBPM assessments.
• Conduct FMECA per MIL-STD-1629A and IEC 60812.
• Support BIT strategies and testability assessments, including fault detection and isolation analyses.
• Develop availability models and readiness assessments for sustainment planning.
• Perform O&M Task Analyses and define maintenance requirements.
• Conduct LORA to determine cost-effective maintenance strategies.
• Support IPSP, ISSP, PSDP, and IPL documentation and provisioning.
• Participate in DRACAS, analyze failure data and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop Product Support Database inputs and related documentation.
• Present RAM analyses to customers, leadership, and engineering stakeholders.
