Responsibilities

• Review and process professional charges to ensure accurate billing, including ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Gather charge information and apply in accordance with billing regulations.
• Abstract billable services and related diagnoses from the medical record.
• Respond to requests related to coding and billing issues.
• Serve as a liaison to faculty, administrators, and hospital personnel on coding matters.
• Maintain and update coding manuals and procedures.
• Develop and implement plans to reduce DOS/DOP.
• Assist in developing policies for team back-up coverage.
