Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a motivated Physician Coder with 6 months to 1 year of coding experience to join our Radiology coding team. The role is fully remote and requires active CPC certification with recent coding history. Radiology experience including CT and Ultrasound is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires CPC in active status with recent coding work history.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of coding experience.
• Experience coding radiology (CT, Ultrasounds) preferred.
• Remote coding experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Code ICD-CM and CPT4 for radiology procedures following national guidelines.
• Abstract clinical data from medical records into EMR and ensure completeness.
• Maintain compliance with CMS, OIG, HCFA and related coding rules.
• Generate daily/monthly reports as assigned for analysis.
• Work independently with supervision as needed and seek guidance when required.
