Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking a Quantum Computing/Cryptography Engineer to advance cryptographic modernization and PQC adoption. This remote, full-time role requires deep quantum and cryptography expertise and the ability to advise leadership.

Responsibilities include implementing cryptographic algorithms, guiding migration plans, and ensuring alignment with NIST PQC standards. US citizenship is expected and security clearances may apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years IT experience with quantum computing and cryptography.
• Expertise in quantum mechanics, algorithms, and information theory.
• Experience with quantum programming languages and frameworks.
• Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography and NIST PQC standards.
• Familiarity with cryptographic standards and simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Implement and test cryptographic algorithms using Python, C++, and Java.
• Advise on PQC migration plans and PQC implementation strategies.
• Assess cryptographic inventory and identify migrations.
• Communicate quantum risk to non-technical leadership across teams.
• Contribute to cryptographic modernization aligned with FIPS 203-205
