Job summary

Databento is hiring a remote Senior Technical Sales Engineer to drive the technical sales process for our market data platform. You will answer customer inquiries, provide data samples, and resolve data-related issues while guiding prospects toward informed buying decisions.

You will craft Python/C++/Rust code examples, gather feedback, maintain forecasting records in CRM, and build executive relationships across the industry to identify opportunities and align sales with company goals.

Qualifications

Communicate effectively with developers and quants.
Learn and explain market data concepts clearly.
Maintain detailed and accurate records in CRM.

Responsibilities

Own the technical sales process from inquiries to closure.
Provide data samples and examples in Python, C++, and/or Rust.
Gather testimonials, case studies, and feedback from customers.
Forecast and document sales activities and keep CRM up-to-date.
Build executive relationships with industry partners and customers.
Monitor industry trends to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies.
Collaborate with teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
