Job summary

Lirio is seeking a Software QA Lead Engineer to drive quality strategy across its cloud-native platform, UI, and integrations. This role mentors QA engineers, designs test automation frameworks, and owns QA gates in a regulated healthcare setting, aligning with Engineering, Product, Cloud/SRE, and Customer Operations to ensure reliable, audit-ready releases.

This remote-friendly position requires US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5-7+ years of related experience.
• Test automation for APIs/services (e.g., JUnit/TestNG for JVM services, PyTest for Python services).
• UI automation experience (Cypress/Playwright).
• Performance testing (Gatling, k6, JMeter).
• Contract testing (Pact or equivalent).
• Observability tooling familiarity (Datadog/OpenTelemetry).
• CI/CD tools and processes; Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation and execution of test strategy for APIs, services, event-driven workflows and UI surfaces.
• Own and evolve automated test coverage and balance with manual testing where needed.
• Ensure coverage for functional, regression, integration, performance and reliability testing.
• Advocate quality practices, CI gates, and testability in design.
• Define quality gates in CI/CD and partner with Cloud/SRE for release readiness.
• Review application logic, APIs, data models and UI workflows with engineers.
• Standardize automation quality, reduce flakiness, and drive remediation of failing tests.
• Document QA processes and best practices.
