Job summary

Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, seeks a Tester (QA Engineer) to support USDA- and federal-level modernization efforts. This remote role requires ability to obtain a Public Trust and offers comprehensive benefits.

You will design and execute test plans, ensure high automated test coverage, and perform accessibility, security, and performance testing across sprints. UAT support and regulatory compliance are integral parts of the job.

Qualifications

Experience with automated and manual software testing in an agile environment.
Proficiency with accessibility testing tools and standards.
Familiarity with security testing tools and practices.
Knowledge of WCAG 2.1, Section 508, and federal accessibility standards.
Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., Google Lighthouse).
Strong documentation and defect-tracking skills.
Experience on federal IT projects preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for each sprint.
Verify minimum 90% automated test code coverage for all delivered code.
Conduct accessibility testing to meet WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA standards.
Perform static and dynamic security testing with tools like Snyk, npm audit, and OWASP ZAP.
Validate API response times and UI rendering within target thresholds.
Conduct performance and load testing to ensure high availability during business hours.
Document and report defects clearly, including false positives from security scans.
Support UAT at the six-month MVP milestone.
Validate Section 508 compliance and assist in producing Accessibility Conformance Reports.
